Maryland Bill of Sale
It is advisable in the state of Maryland that a bill of sale be completed when selling or buying a motor vehicle. While you can transfer the car to another by presenting the vehicles certificate of origin, using a Maryland bill of sale will probably save you some time. The Maryland Division of Driver Licensing provides a standard bill of sale form, on which should be included: the date the car was sold, the amount for which it was purchased, the names and addresses of both the buyer and the seller, the vehicles make, model and year, its vehicle identification number (VIN) and any liens associated with the ownership of the vehicle.
